The booking conditions contain important information. Please carefully read and understand the booking conditions as they constitute a legally binding contract between Scan Adventure and you for the services provided by Scan Adventure.
Please be advised that by booking with us and paying the full amount, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be legally bound by these booking conditions.
Acceptance of your booking will be confirmed via email, and a contract comes into existence on the date shown on your confirmation email. If you have any queries regarding these conditions, please send us an email regarding your concerns
The tours will be running when there are at least 2 passengers. If there is only one person booked we have the right to cancel the trip or to inform the guest for changing the date or to go over to a different trip organized by our company. It is also possible that during the off season we are cooperating with our partners to organize trips together for a better environment.
It is possible to make bookings/reservations by phone, email or through our website. Thereafter a confirmation email with tour offers and essential information will be sent to you. The necessary information about the guests such as name, email, mobile phone number, hotel accommodations and special needs, if required, have to be delivered to Scan Adventure.
Payment shall take place after agreement of confirmed booking. Please be aware that you are able to book the tour by using your credit card.
Tour operators will be invoiced as agreed. There can be different agreements, depending on the tour operator.
Customer safety is essential for Scan Adventure. Thus we are not liable for any damages to you or your equipment while being on the tour. Scan Adventure therefore advises any client to have travel insurance prior the tour.
Scan Adventure is insured by If P&C Insurance, Norway. The insurance covers injuries and damages to persons and objects while driving the vehicle.
For their own safety we do not accept infants on the escursions. Otherwise children from the age of 6 and up to the age of twelve will be charged for a children amount for night excursions and children from the age of 4 and up to the age of twelve will be charged for a children amount for day excursions. It is the parents’ responsibility to take care of their children. The parents have to follow the guide`s advice 100 % according to the children`s behaviour for the safety of both the children and others.
If you cannot start your holiday, then all confirmed bookings must be cancelled by email to the following email address karina@scanadventure.no. The following cancellation fees apply.
Cancellation less than 72 hours prior to departure will be charged 100%
Cancellation 72 hours to 7 days prior to departure will be charged 50%
Cancellation 7 days or longer prior to departure incur no cancellation fee.
If the tour has been cancelled by SCAN Adventure due to lack of safety regulations, the full amount will be refunded or you get the possibility to change the date for the tour.
In order to prevent the possible loss of money owing to your cancellation, we would recommend you to take out cancellation insurance to cover these costs.
All photographs taken during our excursions might be published by Scan Adventure. Unless differently agreed upon written request, the client acknowledges that all photographs taken during the tour can be publicly displayed.
The re-distribution of our photos, or the use of our photos within products that are mass distributed in any type of archive format is not allowed without an extended or special license.
You may not lease, sell or re-distribute, publish or use for any commercial or public purpose any Scan Adventure images unless an extended license for product resale or a special license with free rights for the image was purchased. You can use ScanAdventure images for any personal projects without time, location, or number constraints.
On our northern lights tour we include 1 (one) photograph from the excursion per person. A few days after the excursions we will provide a downloadable JPEG file via email, if requested.
You are not allowed to use Scan Adventure images in any way that puts the photographer or people in the photo in a bad light or in any manner that is considered libelous, slanderous, obscene, indecent or illegal.
You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to our tour bus or its contents or to the equipment. We ask you to report any incidents as they occur.
Guests clearly under influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry to the tour with no rights to refund. Guests clearly under influence of alcohol or drugs may be removed from the activity or bus and will be returned by separate transfer at their own costs to the pick-up point. Use of alcohol and drugs is not allowed io the bus or in the car according to Norwegian law.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves whilst acting in the course of employment.
